Lifesaving & Lifeguarding

King Henry VIII School is a registered training centre with the Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) and can offer a number of courses.

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - The industry standard lifeguarding award. Candidates must be aged 16 or over.

National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) - A qualification for anyone organising and supervising lessons and activities in swimming pools.

Bronze Medallion - For swimmers aged 13 and over. The Bronze Medallion covers water safety, rescue skills and emergency first aid.
